Air Field Service Engineer

Job Summary:
Performs assembly, startup, diagnostics, repair, and preventive mainntenance work as directed by District Service Manager/Region ServiceDirector on Company manufactured, as well as third party manufactured Precision Cooling equipment.

Responsibilities:
Preform pre-site, startup, repair, preventive maintenance, and field modification of company manufactured, as well as third party manufactured equipment as assigned by the Customer Care Center. Complete all administrative responsibilities on all work activities including filed service reports, expense reports, preventive maintenance and startup data sheets and daily time card completion. Must operate within all company published guidelines. Demonstrate positive customer relationship building and management skills. Satisfactorily complete assigned product and custmer relation skills training course. Customer familiarization and Operator Training Class presentations. Other duties as assigned by District Service Manager nd or Regional Service Director.

Education:
HVAC Associates Degree, HVAC Technical school certification or similar discipline desireable or military training equivalent.

Experience:
One to two years of field service repair and customer service with HVAC, Precision cooling equipment.

Skills:
Computer literacy with standard business applications. Adept at utilizing CFC recovery unit. Adept at utilizing test and diagnostic equipment such as digital voltmeter, AC clamp meter and other electronic test devices. Superior customer relations and interaction skills. Adpet at rading and interpreting schematics, drawings and theory of operations manuals. Thorough understanding of principles of Cooling and basic knowledge of electricity. Driving and safe vehicle operations skills. Characteristics include self starter, team player, punctual, personal and professional integrity, trainable, problem solver, organized, professional appearance, flexible, customer oriented, and safety oriented. Capable of reciting and displaying appropriate Safety techniques and practices associated with job requirements.

Physical Demands:
Fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, communicating, hearing, repetitive motions, light work, visual acuity, heavy lifting (up to 80 lbs), bending, keyboarding, reading, driving.

Work Environment:
Subject to inside, climate controlled as well as outside open to the elements environmental conditions. Various customer equipment locations from computer rooms to electrical equipment rooms to outside equipment storage locations. Daily travel from home to various job sites and back to home. Over night travel required. Home office environment for completing paperwork, accomplishing admin requirements and technical documentation familiarization and upkeep.
